PHILOSOPHY / STYLE
Lisa believes in creating environments where cherished memories are made, to essentially set the stage for life’s stories. These surroundings must achieve a curated, livable luxury while still reflecting the client’s unique personality. Creating customized spaces offers a world of options - it is our job as your design team to make design fun and easy, to educate you along the way, and to introduce you to people, products and places you may not have encountered on your own. With that we begin to cultivate your dream space, taking it to perfection by adding our signature style, which is authentic, polished, supple, splendorous, rustic, easy, chic, comfortable, time honored and organic.
BACKGROUND / CERTIFICATIONS
Lisa has been designing fine custom interiors and exteriors for over 25 years. Her background includes a degree in graphic design as well as a position in the Visual Merchandising division of a regional clothing store. These brief yet valuable experiences laid the groundwork for her to study Interior Design at Paier College of Art.
Lisa splits her time between her hometown of Durham, CT where her roots run deep and Naples, FL, where she has embraced, and been embraced by, a new group of ‘family’ and friends. While she loves sharing her own little ‘Mayberry’ (aka Durham) with her clients and followers, she is also smitten with the charm of Naples. Her life in CT has contributed to her own personal design style where modern meets traditional meets salvage. She enjoys bringing some of that style to Southwest FL and, in turn, bringing some of that southern feeling back to CT - it's truly the best of both worlds.
Lisa is an active member in both her communities. In CT she served as a member of the Durham Fair Association assisting her husband, Joe. In Florida she serves as an earnest member of Valerie’s House, a special place for children and families to connect to heal after experiencing the death of a loved one. Lisa has also dedicated much of her time to missionary work in the Eastern Mountains of Kentucky, granting her the distinction of being named a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Steve Bashear.
Lisa is married to the love of her life, Joe, and she can't imagine this ride called life without him. Together they have two children, Ashley and Joey, and their two grandsons.
