Kara is a Middlefield native who grew up seconds from the LDD Interiors studio. She currently lives in Middle Haddam, in a mid-century modern fixer-upper on the Connecticut River, that has had every wall, ceiling and floorboard updated by her and her husband Zach.

 

In 2016, when Lisa asked Kara what she wanted to do in life, she responded with "I want to be a designer".  So Lisa gave Kara her old drafting table and suggested she return to school and study design. She did just that. A graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University with a BS in Communications, Kara also holds two Certifications in Interior Design from Paier College of Art and the New York Institute of Art and Design. With a passion for all things surrounding home, Kara is thrilled to be a part of the LDD family. 

 

Most often, you'll find Kara singing in a band or at home with her husband and now two children. Kara's been volunteering with the Durham Fair Association for over 10 years and loves to be outside, going to the beach, a really good taco and a nice cabernet sauvignon!
